Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced peeled tart apples
  • 1-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick
  • ice cream or Cool Whip, optional

Ingredients (topping)

1 cup Bisquick

1/3 cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons cold margarine or butter

1/2 cup sliced almonds

Method

Step 1

Toss apples with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Place in greased crock pot. In a bowl mix milk, margarine, sugar, eggs, vanilla and baking miix. Mix well. Spoon over apples.

Step 2

For topping, combine Bisquick and brown sugar. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Add almonds. Sprinkle over apples.

Step 3

Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours until apples are tender. Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip.
