Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 1-1/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 1 cup blueberries

Method

Step 1

Beat egg and 1/2 cup sugar. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk to sugar mixture, beating after each addition. Stir in butter. Fold in berries. Pour into greased 8-in. square pan. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Cover and chill overnight.

Step 2

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
