Ingredients

  • 2 frozen pie crusts
  • 1-2 cans mushroom pieces (4 oz. each)
  • Or 1-2 cups French fried onion rings
  • Or 4-8 ounces bacon bits
  • Or 1-2 cans tiny shrimp
  • Or 1-2 cans tuna
  • Or 1- 2 cups additional cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup milk (or enough when mixed with evaporated milk it equals 2 cups)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon each salt & pepper

Method

Step 1

Fill each pie crust with 1 cup of Swiss cheese and any combination of mushrooms, French fried onions, bacon bits, shrimp, tuna or cheese. I usually use French fried onions plus one of the others.

Step 2

Beat remaining ingredients together to form a custard. Divide it into the pie shells. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° and bake for 35 minutes more.
