Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package (12 ounces or 2 cups) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Method

Step 1

In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.

Step 2

In a large bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Spread into greased 15-1/2-in x 10-1/2-in pan. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool before cutting into bars.
