Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can (28 ounces) Pastene 'Kitchen Ready' ground tomatoes, or crushed
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) beef or chicken broth
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 package Lipton Onion Soup mix
  • 1 can Veg All or frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup orzo

Method

Step 1

Brown beef in a skillet. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Add broth, water, and onion soup. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 7 minutes.

Step 3

Add vegetables. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook until vegetables tender, about 30 minutes.

Step 4

Cook orzo and add to soup just before serving.
